Belt Requirements
In order to progress in rank, Twin
Dragons and the World Tang Soo Do
Association requires a minimum
number of classes and time between
Belt Tests, knowledge of appropriate
one-steps (il soo sik) and self
defense (ho sin sul) techniques, and
proficiency performing required
forms (hyungs). In general, a
student who attends class regularly
should expect to test every three
months after yellow belt.

Membership Information
Upon successful
completion of a student's Orange belt
test, they are registered with the
World Tang Soo Do Association.
Members receive an association manual,
which explains the history of Tang Soo
Do, rules of behavior, testing
requirements, terminology, etc. Members
also receive an association
identification card, which Twin Dragons
maintains. This card serves as a
student's training transcript.
The World Tang Soo Do
Association is an international
organization with studios on six
continents. Color belt membership is a
lifetime membership as long as the
student remains active in the
Association. The identification card is
honored by all studios in the
Association. This way, if students move
during their color belt training period,
they may join a World Tang Soo Do
Association school in their new location
at their current ranking.
